Whether the tutorial is up or down doesn't really matter. I was just trying to encourage ps6users and others not just copy the look of panks site. Maybe learn from it, but improve upon it. Or just be inspired by his creativity, and create your own new effect. If you want to put them on your site, ps6user, then go for it. I just think you would be a lot more happy with something original that you had actually created, not just followed the directions from like a recipe.

Well, the reason I said "Have fun making better tubes" is because the tutorial was supposed to help ppl's imagination wake up. By showing users step by step on how to make something with given examples, users play with their own settings, edit steps in which they can improve upon what they have done, or even simplify steps but have their finished work looking even better than its original counterpart. In other words, the tutorial is supposed to help ppl use their noggin . I'm sure Pank and other tut writers had that in mind when they were creating tutorials.

No doubt every tutorial creator has that in mind when they make a tutorial, but that hardly ever happens. Instead you just get 50 sites with the exact same look to them. (Rust... Wires.... little gems..... gold..... etc etc.) Sure after a long time, people will realize that they can actually make something interesting and original with the tools they learned to use, but not any time soon. And until then, you're just making a recipe book.

he found it too, this is the way I made my rings, with KPT, but I only had KPT 6 so it's maybe why it was different...It's not the same name for the program, now it's Materializer...

but mine looks more 3d-ish:
