Hehe, this'll give me some headache. I'm not sure it even works, you know certain elements of photoshop is not recordable, and I'm beginning to think this is one of them ;( at least to me... I will keep on trying a bit, tho... If we forget the action bit in this dilemma for a second, I can place the text at a given point in the document, but I can't get it to work in a all automated action. And that is what you want. What I can do...right now is an action that pretty much does it all, but placing the text where we want it:(... It must be done manually at this point. You know you can insert stops and give instructions on what to do and after that go on playing the action, you can insert menu-items, but not insert tool choices...as in the move tools "align-" choices...at least I'm not able just now. Perhaps the more professional members of this forum know of a way...? Utopian, perhaps, he know pretty much everything ;) PM him and ask. Anyway, I'll keep on trying, 'coz this gives me satisfaction ;) and if I should come up with anything, good or bad, I will post it here... Patric. |

Ok, thanks again! Maybe I'll have to insert a stop and a manual action, but since it's a bunch of pics (about 250) it would be nice not to have to do it that way... You trying gives me satisfaction aswell... ;) I'll go harass this Utopian guy, if he gets mad, I'll send him to you! :D |

;) Patric. |

If the photos are photographs then they are probably either all the same size, just either landscape or portrait. Then you can place the text where you want on a landscape one and then do that action for all the landscape ones. Then the same for the portrait ones. If they aren't photos, though, and the sizes and dimensions vary a lot, I don't really know. Sorry. tom |

yes, that's one solution I've been thinking of - to sort out and separate the landscape pics from the portrait type photos and then create two Actions for the different sizes... Maybe I'll do that. I'll wait and see what Patteman comes up with ;) Thanks anyway for your support! |

i did come up with an action for that 48 pt haettenweiller sheiz kinda name is that anyway ;) I mail you that, it is not to use on small pic's ;) U could use an action with smaller font in it aswell. (I could have done it so U had to choose font, fontsize and all, but you wanted it as automated as possible, right...) I did a black copywrite kinda thing aswell... Go check mail !! Patric. |
