thanks Rodder!...I found that re-starting my computer answered it..but I got a message when I opened a picture that I had been working on and went to my healing brush (or any tool I found) that said..
could not use the healing brush because the source is a fill layer
Ever seen that before so in the future I would know what it meant?

Havent seen that error before...but i do know what it means. When you use the "healing brush" you take one area of a photograph you want to copy (this is your "source"...which you set by alt-clicking on a specific area) and you "paint" it onto another area of the photo. For the healing brush to work properly it needs information (pixels) so it can copy them. A fill layer is a "special" layer that allows you to add color. Its not recognized as regular pixel data like normal layers (until you rasterize it...from the layers menu). So the source (what you want to copy using the "heal brush") was set on a fill layer...and the healing brush couldnt copy the image because it didnt find any pixels on the layer. So it gave you the error.

I think i explained that ok.......sorry if i confused you. Im good at doing..not so good at explaining.
