Anyone want to help a newbie girl out?

Hi Everyone, this seems like a pretty nice forum.
I was wondering if anyone could point me the right direction to photoshop basics for 7.0. Like a tutorial, or a how-to type thing?
I am so lost in it and seem to turn my pics into mush instead of something better! Help!

Also daisydiaz the best thing I can suggest for you to learn photoshop is to play around with it, just toy with lal the different filters and tools, see what they do. Tutorials are great, but nothing beats first hand experience. Experience is what made the tutorialsin the first place. :P
