I've produced my own fire model now and I did it with some more techniques like u wrote in ur tut. My ideas were the following onces: after painting some little yellow lines over the body u said u have to smudge all the lines up and down - then smudge the entire shape. Of course thats correct - I used Gaussian Blur for that. but then u don't say something about blurring anymore. my result was bad cuz the small lines didn't passed right into the bigger streaks. so it looked damn crappy *lol and I didn't wanted to smudge it all over again cuz after some time it looks too blurred. I think I'll do it again... but I had another idea: I used the *aarggh...don't know the name in english cuz I have a different version...the smudge finger lol (?)...don't know. Know what I mean ? size about 45/55 - great to imitate the flames if u paint from the bottom to the top. now my picture don't look like the bond poster but it looks like real fire...more realistic than the bond pic :D I would show u the result but unfortunately I have no hosting account at the moment. u could possibly make an action about this fire texture...I have 2 think about this cuz in my opinion the effort is too big...I did it in about 35 minutes since I was really satisfied. |

Actually...even though you had a little trouble achieving the bond "fire" effect...your idea (using the smudge tool..which is a icon of a finger) was on the right track!! Thats even better. Looks realistic and is more original! There are a few places you can get free hosting. Off the top of my head (the one i use ) is www.geocities.com. You can just upload your pic there. Also you may want to post (if your going to show us your picture) in the Digital Art Showcase or Graphics check. You would get more replies in one of those. |

I already knew where to get free hosting but either I had no time or didn't feel like doing this cuz I hate advertising banners and I don't want them on my website. But it's only to upload some graphic arts so the idea is good, thx. -how often r u on teamphotoshop ? -what do u have to do to become a team member ? I'll upload the image later and then give u the link. |

Good Job!! They're both great. I like your 2nd one a little bit more though. Its softer...has more of a fire feel to it. Awesome!!
