When I try to install the 7.0.1 upgrade to PS7.0, it can't find "photoshop" even if I point it to the correct directory. The net result is that I can't install it. Any input is appreciated. |

Are you on a Mac or PC? You may have to reinstall PS again. A good place to check for this type of information is at the Adobe website. Check their forums. They are their for this exact reason, to help troubleshoot things like this. You will probably get more help there.

It's not a bug, it's poor computer skills. Most people have no problem. |

I ran into that same problem with a fresh install. I installed PS, then tried to install the update and it gave that error message. So its not poor computer skills. Something is buggy with the installer. |

Nope...the installer is, and always has been, just fine. There was a short-term problem with their server, acknowledged by Adobe emplyee Stephanie S*...but if you were able to D/L the full 7.0.1 update, the only problem reported was because people failed to follow the included update instructions. Things changed when Adobe moved to their new serial number algorithm and registration process, and some people sailed into it thinking everything was like it used to be because they didn't read the instructions. That's poor computer skills. The "ReadMe's" are there for a reason. |
