Hey I was just wondering how to make text into a semi-circle. Like if I'm trying to make a logo like the US presidencial seals and want text around the outside of a circle. I tried using the warp features but it wouldn't work.

Can't do it in photoshop without a plug-in. search the forum for text on a path to find the other threads that answer this question.

Yes I tried the one that pixelchick pointed out. Didn't work for me but I didn't try for very long. Can you do it in Illustrator at least? I know in Xara X (another vector program) you can "fit text to line". But I couldnæt find this function in Illustrator.

Text on path in Illustrator. Its one of the options on the Text tool. Hold it down and when the other options zoom out you will see it. Create a circle (just the path is all you need.) then click the text bar onto that path, then type....

I dont remember off hand (and I havent looked at the posted tutorial to confirm) but it would seem that for the effect to work your canvas would have to be square to start with.

Just a thought.

And just a reminder that this is the new to PS help and not new to Illustrator help ;)
