sometimes if the curve is too broad some jagged stuff appears - I get it too. This also happens if you have multiple bends in your curved shape....
get your selection to a channel, fill with white and feather it - then adjust the levels until you smooth the edges - works every time. then select it - go to layers and cut using the channel selction
