I think I may have found the solution, under Control Panel>Mouse>Hardware>Properties>Advanced Settings theres something called "Input Buffer Length" and when you right click>What's This? it says to increase that number if your mouse behaves eratically. The default was 100 and i moved it up to 200, I guess that's high enough. Bu tanyway, I'm gonna try it out. Thanks to everyone whos helped me out so far.

The drivers for the microsoft mice are all the same. You just download the Intellipoint Drivers from their site, and then it asks you what mouse you have. You can then match it to a picture in the software. So just download Intellipoint software. You can then customize what all the buttons do, and that should fix your problem.
