Find your pref's file and 'delete' it. Even though you uninstalled PS and reinstalled it the odds are the pref's did not change...

Can anyone tell me where i can download, Adobe Photoshop 6.x or up for free, a full version is preferable, since you cant save in Trial

Adobe.com...and YES you CAN save in a trial version. But only for a limited number of days.

You'd know that if you did a little research.
