http://legendzgaming.net/mcpxv7/v7.html If ya go to the above website, I was trying to figure out in photoshop 7, how to make those diagonal edges he has going on the table where it reads "click for another random image". The diagonal cut edge to the left of that text...thats what I wanna know how to do it. Trying to make a interface that utilizes that style of edge. Same with the bottom of the site when you see the free patterns he gives out, he has the same cut edges but smaller. Thanks in advance for any help! -Mike |

All he did was to either use the polygonal lasso tool and hold in the "shift" key while making points, and then filled the selection with a color. Or, he used the "pen" tool, created a path by holding down the "shift" key, then made a selection from the path and filled it. Holding down shift while using those tools makes the tool move only in 45 degree angles. |

EDIT: mrbogus, you beat me to it There's a good tutorial on how to do that sort of thing - http://www.jamacotrading.nl/paddo/learn/onepixelbevels.htm Select the polygonal lasso tool, and drag a new line - dont release the left mouse button, but hold shift, click, then drag a new line, hold shift and click - until you have the shape you want. Fill it with a color and then add a style or anything else! |

Geez, I freaked out when I saw that, choked on my soda I was busy gulping down. :o Yeah, I guess you can use the polygonal lasso or what not, I just used the old fashioned Line tool (1px, Anti-aliasing off) and the pencil tool. And the shading is all done by the gradients. :o So random, close but no cigar, I don't remember the last time I used the Layer Effects. |

It's supposed to appear jagged up-close. When you zoom out and view it at 100% magnification it appears less jagged. If you took a screenshot of that one area and zoomed in, you can check that there are more than one lines there that gives it the appearance that it's softer, but it's just a series of those pixelated/jaggy lines.
