A simple background won't really change it.

nope, needs another color and something a little more sophisticated. definately looks noob with that font.

Well... its alright I guess, but I think it needs a lot more. Like you said its really basic, but I think there should be some more stuff to it, another color, some more graphics, or something.

I kinda like it. Some things that I think ought to be changed/removed:

- The splash page. It's pointles, and sort of ugly. It serves no point, unless there is some hidden pre-loader... but even then it's pointless since you're site is fairly small (which is good) and doesn't require a pre-loader.

- The navigation font. It doesn't go with the whole layout. It would much better if it was Tahoma just like the content. OR some other font, but this one just doesn't really work for me. I mean, it's OK, but I don't like it.

Other than that, it's good.
