I think the font is not appropriate for the buttons. It's not readable. At least for me.
I you use a 1px border for the website, then the borders of the menu and the content box are too big.
Mybe you could add more color to it and find a way to put in a header cause only 'the-paul.com' looks unprofessional to me.
In the 'work section. you could develop a script that presents the work you've done in a more pleasent way.

yeah - I like the font but not for buttons, there is not the place to prove your inventiveness. Interface buttons should be easily found and read. Also I agree that the borders are big-ish... maybe if you changed the color....

You're right, its lacking content, but thats what my project for it is now... Get some more art and photos up [scanning... grr...]...
