Photoshop starts up in 13 seconds for me and your processor is 3 times faster than mine.

LOL. I still have the old HUGE floppy drive. I don't use it, I just can't part with it.

It's not necessarily CPU speed. A lot of it is RAM dependent.

But, hey, 13 secs is gooood. My previous one took like 40-50 secs. It was pure evil. Filters took a looong time too.

You mean the B drives??? (or commonly known as B drives) I got one of them in my old computer which is sitting right next to me

6 seconds??? What a dinosaur. All I have to do is think about using PS and its already open for me. :D :D :D

Fonts and any actions, etc. you add post-install makes PS start slower. Its not always cpu.

I was just kidding around slayerment. Im not good at sarcasm when its typed. But if you want to know, my ol girl is starting to get in her golden years, desperately wanting to bring home my g4 at work.

She was built from scratch, but sadly computers get outdated so quickly. But now Im a Mac addict so I'll retire her hopefully within the year and pick up a G4.
