Who needs floppies anymore when emailing, online file storage or ethernet connection is so quick and easy? Apple was right about that.... Nonetheless, have fun building. |

The floppy is more of a sentimental part of the machine. Its essential or it wouldnt boot at all.:D

Also, If you're going to build a killer box, why not put a DVD burner in there?

I dunno. I can't even fathom a time where I might want to burn a DVD. Besides, I have a DVD player on the big TV. And that's enough. We just rent. Or get NetFlix.

I'd use a DVD-ROM for more of a storage solution than entertainment for a PC.

Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, TypeStyler, GoLive and Flash are among the very few games I play. OK, I'll admit, I do dabble with SimCity once in awhile, and Snood if I'm really bored… |

Oh you wouldn't believe how many times we've cursed that decision apple made! My girlfriend has a macintosh laptop, and it's got it's problems with the TCP/IP - and whatnot when it comes to connecting to the web, and she hasn't got a burning CD drive either... just getting a damn essay out from that damn computer has been a huge problem from time to time. :D ...in those occations a simple floppy drive would've solved lots of problems. :p |
