I think this is a nice place, but after 1 day I decided already to leave. Why? Because you're all too young; I think the average of the members in this forum age is 20 years or so. See, I have no problem with youngster, but certain things just don't interest me like talks about Star Wars, Harrie Potter, parties, skateboards, Britney Spear, skulls, monsters, blood, chain, weapons, Playstation, school, baseball cards, pokemon, or words like pleazzze, how r u, thankx, 10x.

This is just the wrong forum for me as a profesional designer.

Anyways, it's still a good place, but just a little too childish for me.

Good luck with the site.

Hahahahaha, funny guy...

Well, Mr. Condescending, why post a goodbye message after only one day? What was actually the point of that? It seems to me that your arrogance has gotten the better of you. Quite a lot of people here are graphic designers, who try to help others to be graphic designers.

Good cause don't you think? Oh, sorry, i forgot that you're too intellectually supererior to us, to care about the younger generation and all....

And if you're any type of good graphic designer Mr. Oldy, you'll be aware that to succeed, you have to follow trends, produce graphics which poeple can appeal to in today's world. Hense the Misc section. That's the problem with you, you've lacked behind in relation to the media, to today. You seem stuck in the past. Remember the younger generation is the future.

So basically, you've written this message to say how crap this board was...Ok, well that's your opinion. And i can promise you that you will not find a board full of 30+ year olds which inspires the young generation into design. This is what the board is about. Deal with it.

You seem a bit immature for your age for you to bother writing that message, Mr. Oldy.

Education is everything.

Something you've decided to turn a blind eye on and criticise the misc section of a board, where we get to chat about anything. Or do you not discuss at all about Star Wars? Sorry, i fogot, you're too old for that and we're too childish for you.

That's too bad. Some of these youngsters have some pretty creative ideas and make valuable contributions to the list. And some of them have great insight on what appeals to the younger crowd these days.

At 32, I agree... some of it is useless. But some of it is really valuable as well. Fortunately, I have the ability to pick and choose what I want to read so for me, the list is an asset. I wouldn't mind also subscribing to a list that's more professional and *seasoned* if you will, so if you find a good one, let me know. I think *both* types of lists would be really valuable to a designer.

And damn, you must be *really* old, because even at 32, I love playing my Playstation2! I was 6 when Pong consoles hit the market and have loved video games ever since. You must be like 40 something, huh? *Just missed* that video game rage by a few years I guess.

Don't let old age get it's grasp on you so easily, my man.

Peace.

I have but one thing to say.

Find a post where all we talk about is brittany spears and I will concede that everyone here is young.

As for a professional designer, judging by your tone, you arent all that professional. You certainly are a dickhead though.

We don't need people like you in this community. So please, be on your merry way. Find a more suitable place to post your mindless drivel. Try theroot42.org or somethingleet.com. Both of those have an unending supply of morons who think just like you.

Bye! No big loss.

Firstly you could have done some research in this forum by reading some of the post, then decide. "Hmmm... these guys seems childish.. ergo... no talent, or valuable meanings or knowledge to me. I think I'll skip the sign up and find another forum." Instead of signing up just to give us this dumb good bye message.

Secondly, I think this is is a fine example of "group psychology". You want to find a group which got the same meanings and way of life as you. There are allready to much grouping in this world. Why not try to blend in with a group which hasn't the same meanings as you. I think you will learn a lot of new stuff and maybe instead of looking down on us you will perhaps respect our meaning and see the meaning behind it all.

And there is nothing wrong with being childish. To me there are a lot of more positive assosiations connected to that word then the backstabbing adult. Responsebility is another discussion, but now I'm digressing. Anyway, we got a very informal, open and honest forum here, which i think perhaps "kids" could have, and last but not least, we are having a lot of fun.
