You want to see WHAT? Your county fair:

If you were looking to the web for information on your local county fair, or a county fair that you were going to visit, what kind of information would be important to you? What would you want to see there? I welcome all suggestions.

Oh um.

We have fairs here, like carnival type fairs (ferris wheel, etc). Mostly I just look for any bands\singers\groups I like that might be playing. Other than that, it's mostly the same thing every year, so I don't expect much else.

I like to check out all the vendors too (it's a large building you must go through to get to the "fair"). Everything from cell phones to cars to boats. That pretty much changes every year as well, other than some regulars that are there every year.

yeah, just hype the main stuff. I'd keep it really simple and straightforward.

i think it's wierd that people that go to county fairs go to websites for the info.

people in my hometown that go to the fair there might say something like Homer did:

"Internet? They got that on computers now!?"

Well I cannot take suggestions on what to have at the fair, but rather what to put on the site.

MBB, I did get an opportunity to do a county fair site, not a really local one, but it is within 200 miles.

I looked at about 500 county fair sites and about the only decent one I saw was for the Los Angeles County Fair., and none of them really had good information. I'd like to make it so that after the fair, people can go and see who won what livestock events, race events, photos of the concerts, everything. Rather than just a little "This is what we do, here is a map" web site, I'd rather make it a full-on informational site.

well, be sure you put in the hours and price of admission. You would be suprised at how many people leave that out. Like it is some big secret or something.
