Use your php and html idea dek and spend 15 bucks and by a "teach yourself html" book for the client

Believe me, that would NEVER work. Most of my clients barely know how to check their e-mail... there is no way I'm going to let them edit HTML.

You can always do the updating for them and then ask money for it. That's only if your client wants to pay for.

Well yes, of course that is the ideal thing to do, but almost every client I've ever had wants to update their own site, and does not want to pay for update fees.

The php and html idea is a good one though. I do that for all the pages I make.
