I'd like an XBox, but I don't have the time to play video games anymore. I've had my Playstation 1 for over 2 years, and I own one game for it. I've probably spent 20-30 hours playing the Playstation. Since I don't have the time to play the system, I can't really justify spending $300 on it.

I think the xbox is the way to go. Nintendo seems to target there games to a younger audience.

I would buy the X-Box because it has way more features, and is just in my honest opinion better than Nitendo's 2 lb. cube. However, I'm not going to be buying any since I have no time to play video games. My Nitendo 64 hasn't been turned on in months.

I've played on both, and although the game choice may be with the Cube,........performance wise, I'd have to put my money on the X-Box. But for now, I'll just stick with PC Gaming. |

Nintendo marketing their games to younger people is a bunch of bull. Sure, they may have more cartoon based games than other systems, but that doesn't mean that's all they have. They have the Resident Evil series exclusively now, which isn't very kid oriented. There are a lot of other games that aren't kid oriented as well. I personally already have a DVD and CD player, so it doesn't matter to me that the Xbox can play DVDs. Even if I didn't already have one, I wouldn't use the Xbox as my only DVD player. The Xbox does have a harddrive though, which is nice and ahead of everyone else. None of the games on the Xbox really appeal to me, because they are all basically PC games. Halo will be ported to PC, they are porting Max Payne to Xbox, and back and forth. If I wanted to play those types of games, I'd just play them on the PC. I play consoles for console style games, which Nintendo is by far the best at. I also only play games for good gameplay. I don't care whether the character is a cartoon plumber or a big muscle bound guy with a big gun that blows people's heads off if the gameplay is good. But that's just my opinion. I guess everyone plays games for a different reason. |

Well, I bought a PS2 a while back, and dig sports game. My fav being NCAA Football 2001. My team is Florida, I'm in the 3rd year of my dynasty, and am 21 - 0 overall with 2 SEC and National Championships. I love the game, it's provided hours of entertainment. The coolest part is probably at the end of the year when you must recruit new players. Weeeeee!

The Gamecube isn't about specs. It's about games. And fun. Which it supplys in abundance. If all you care about is technical prowess, you would probably be more happy with an Xbox. Or a PC for that matter. Gamecube is the best for fun though. In my opinion.
