I charge by the site or per page also. I do agree that charging by the hour is unfair. However i do charge by the hour with just things like programing, and updating a site if it just text and a image swaps. Hope that helps! |

thanks mobile... its kinda low if coverted but thats gd enough since the site is small... i've not charged for other scripts and updates |

I charge by the project for web design, but I really don't like designing web sites, so I don't normally do that. When I program though, I charge by the hour. And I perform updates as long as they are reasonable for free.

Since Flash sites and Intros are hard to gauga i usually charge depending on the complexity, the length of animation or number of "pages". Ive dont intros that last about 15 seconds for $160 and its a pretty fair price. I also do Logos or little mascots for people and the line art i sell for about $25-$45. But if its a really big company then $125-$145.
