I run 1680 x 1050, but my browser window is still rarely bigger than 800x600. Well, 800 x 1000 or so. and I still hate scrolling, and having to resize my window because of some stupid wide site.
Time to go dual-screen, Dhekster! :D Rich: You have a pleothora of precocious designers here. Set the parameters, and have a contest. Winner gets a text link in the footer and an iPod shuffle. That'd be a huge boon for whomever's Google rank, and it would only cost you $150! Don't know how much your other guy charges... |

I'll have dual monitors as soon as I get a bigger desk, but my browser window will still never be bigger than 800 x 1000. Take that.

OK guys, here is my version of the home page 0.5 - There are a few elements I wanted to include such as some links to the latest forums posts and some previews of the latest updated member galleries (when we have some!) But the general jist of it is here: http://www.teamphotoshop.com/rich/ Feedback and criticism welcomed and encouraged. Would like to know people's opinion as to having a plain template for a Photoshop site? |

hrm not too bad, its missing something not sure what, maybe just less white space ? a bit more color to make it seem more full.

Perhaps some kind of background design and maybe a light grey blackground colour.

perhaps, try adding some color to those news boxes and the tutorial boxes as well to "fill" them up.

http://www.zyconium.com/other/whitespace.jpg thats kind of what I meant, just like add some different colors for like shading or what not. I mean if your going for the simple plan, try looking at some blogs, I think we still need a "sexy" feel, and just a few light gradients here and there can really make a huge difference. |
