Bug Pank huh? Okay, but Pank has mean bodyguards from what I hear, plus he's from Al Capone's hometown of Chicago.

But here goes..."Oh Pank! Come out, come out, wherever you are! Think you'll have time soon to publish Mihai's tuts that he's submitted?"

Just checking man, just checking....

Cheers!

Thanks mihai,

I gave the tutorial a quick look before going to bed. I'll have to read it in depth tomorrow but I'm sure it's just as good as the rest of the tuts you've provided. I was wondering one more thing.

Pank, if you're reading this I could use your help as well. A while back Pank had published on the home page of TeamPhotoshop, a link to a utility/plug-in of some kind that helps give more control over the pen tool in Illustrator.

Pank, do you remember? It was in regards to controlling the nodes better to render cleaner curves or something to that effect. Does anyone remember this or know of a plug-in that does this in Illustrator. I'd really like to look into it more, but I forgot what the name of the plug-in was.

I think Pank had posted it on the homepage a bit prior to the redesign. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm learning this Illustrator stuff. Thanks for your time and help.

Cheers!

*one more thing: Mihai, those tuts on 3D perspective really rock. They make my head hurt a bit but they're awesome beyond words. Great work my friend, I can't wait to try them out!

Well here I am once again, wondering if someone can direct me in the right direction one more time. I've tried Illustrator to create the logo I need, came up with two but my curves are off. Can someone help?

No, I'm not asking for a free logo, although that would be great, but I'm asking for a direction anew and afresh.

I've looked up tuts, including Mihai, and boy what tutorials those are, and I've searched for books but I'm low on cash to invest on books.

I also remember Pank, posting on the homepage of this site, a tool, or plugin, that helps you control the curves alot better. Does anyone know of such a thing. I know there's one for Freehand by Macromedia, but I can't find the one Pank posted here a while back for Illustrator.

It's a tool or something that helps control those curves better. I need to get crisper curves, and while it takes practice, I don't have much time. As you all know, from my first post on this thread, it's for a group of kids from several churches in our district that need this logo to go on some booklets and shirt that will be made for a camp they'll be going to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and again, I'm not saying, "Give me a free logo" I'm just wondering if there are any vector clip art sites out there offering some free vector clip art that I might be able to modify, although I've searched left and right to find one, I haven't.

Thanks again and I hope someone can help me on this.

Cheers!

NO CLIP ART!!!

We'll help you as much as you need, dude! Post the .ai file on here, or email it to me @ malibu@pictusdesign.com. If you placed the bitmap image into the Illustrator file just as a link, then send that file also. Also if you have a napkin sketch of what you're heading towards, send that too.

Silly, Zerimar... clipart....

We'll look at what you've done, suggest things; or finish what you've started and show you how we did it.
NO CLIP ART!!!

Silly, Zerimar... clipart....
???

Give us 3 good reasons not to utilize clip art. Silly Malibu. Clip art can be our friend in a pinch. Sometimes, rather then over-thinking things, gather some clip art and combine/manipulate them for a new look. I think totally disregarding clip art all together is rather smug. Granted, using clip art as a sole means of design is a cheap cop out, but a lot of times it has its advantages.

Or...if you want to disagree, lets include the "Custom Shape Tool" (how many of you use this...don't make me post your examples. ) Stylized Brushes, etc...

Zerimar,

I have a logo that I used for my (sadly departed) blog. I'm not using anymore. If you want it - I'll give you the .ai and you can modify it to suit your needs.

lemme know
