This just might be the best comic book movie yet.

I am not liking how overhyped it is. Everyone is freaking out because it is black and white..

Actually, the people who are "freaking out" are probably big fans of the series as well as other series that haven't really been made all that well into film version. Went to see this tonight and it's very accurate to the storylines of the 3 novels. Being in black and white is part of the genre. Find me a movie, aside from "clerks: and "the blair witch project" that are in black and white and are also very good films...

To be honest, I don't know what you mean by over hyped. If you want to sell tickets and make money on a movie, you hype it. The more hype, the possibility of more money on opening weekend increases. In terms of making money, there's no such thing as over hype. In terms of people who don't really understand or know the stories of the characters in the movie, it may seem a little too much. But those of us who like the series and enjoy the movie would like to see more of them made. They don't keep making a series of films if the first one sucks.

Example. Look at some of the movies that have come out in the past. Their were sequels made that went straight to video and never hit a theatre. Not because it was overhyped, but because it sucked outright. In other words, it's a-o-k to hype a movie that turned out well.

Like i said, i am sure it is good, and i have no reason to feel this way, but i just get annoyed when i hear people talking about it.



I do some pretty geeky things, so i have seen the graphic novels (although i haven't read them yet) around, and they definately look awesome.

Sin City was awesome. Greatest movie I've ever seen. I loved every bit of it. I have no words to accurately describe its greatness.
