This just might be the best comic book movie yet.

Well, most accurate at least

Sin City.

I dunno how many of you are familiar with it, but this movie looks like it's gonna kick some ass. I don't know a whole lot about the series, but I've read Frank Miller's Batman series, and I'm relatively familiar with Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot which is also his creation.

What I do know about the Sin City series is that it's insanely violent. Either way, this looks like a pretty entertaining movie, with some sick visuals.

Jessica Alba as the stripper, but no nude scenes. They had trailers and posters out in the summer bro. :p

Lol, I know, there's been stuff out about it for a while, but it's been getting a lot of play on this other forum I'm on, and the theatrical (non-teaser, actual movie footage) trailer came out on the 21st.

Fact remains, it looks pretty damn good.

It's based on a few books in the series of graphic novels called Sin City.

On one of those rare occasions, it looks like hollywood might have gotten it right with a movie based on books. Can't tell much from the previews but Bruce Willis as John Hartigan is actually a pretty good choice.

Anyway, the graphic novels are quick easy reads. Their the kind that have nice twists and turns and they don't end the way you expect em. Will probably check this one out.

I think Marv could've been cast better. I mean, Mickey Rourke doesn't really say 'mangled street fighter' to me. Of course, it's not like I can think of anyone better. I do think though that they should've toned down the nose and chin a little. And maybe made the yellow bastard more of a jaundiced yellow, rather than the banana yellow that he is. Although that would've kinda blunted the effect of the primary color usage that they've ported over from the novels.

Oh yeah, to whom it may concern, the song being played in the trailer is called 'Cells', and it's by a band called The Servant it takes a few listens to get what they're talking about. At first listen it sounds a little cheesy, I think. I looked up the lyrics, and it started to make sense, and now I kinda like 'em. Ares or Kazaa should be a good place to find them. Unfortunately, there isn't an instrumental version available. The music is friggin awesome though. I mean, it doesn't sound groundbreakingly weird, but it's just unfamiliar enough to really stick in your head.

Damn thanks for the info! I was liking the music too, it fits very well in the trailer.

I saw the trailer the other day and thought it would be a nice movie, thanks for that last link as well.

Just saw it.

This movie kicked my ass.

If you're a fan of Tarantino, or liked Kill Bill, this is right up your alley.
