I like your Nostalgia, except the silver theme since it takes up too much memory :D

Looks like OnCleSAm needs to run msconfig.

Here is my desktop
http://img62.exs.cx/img62/5372/mydesktop2.jpg

Reasons why it is like this:
Warcraft 3 is awesome
Quick launch icons are gay
takes almost no memory
No apps on start up
simple interface and stylish at the same time

I have 1GB PC-3200 DDR :D

Quick launch is awesome if you use it right, and use folders rather than putting every singly application you have down there.

Quick launch rules. I have 3 buttons:

Desktop, Firefox, and Putty. The rest I use a lot I put in folders on the Start menu.

My desktop is boring because I reinstalled a few days ago and haven't done anything to it and I hate my current wallpaper, but just to lazy to change it at this moment. So just close your eyes and imagine a mac G5 for me...

I just use a keyboard hotkey for Firefox, no need to take up desktop space!

Heck yes, I just made my display settings larger. I used to run 1152 x 864, now I just run at 1280 x 1024. At work I run at 1600 x 1200 (UXGA).

I don't run mine that large for the quick launch necessarily, more because I have so many applications open at once. At work I need all 3 lines so that I can go from application to application easily.

I play WC 3 all the time online (Customs rule)
I also cannot wait for WoW, the one MMORPG I do want to play.

Yeah, I have I have 768 MB PC-3200 DDR of ram (funny amount huh?), but I am always in need of the smallest bit of memory, so I can run Cinema 4D, Photoshop, After effects, DVD X Copy, and go online at the same time .

I like the start menu better

I feel bad for people who use 800x600, for some reason they are always the ones with bad eyesight who complain that 1280 x 1024 is too small ....
I always use 1280 x 1024 ;)

So just close your eyes and imagine a mac G5 for me...

Lol, mac...
