It's if some random people find out these informations about any users, private informations such as credit card numbers or password for whatever you can think of. I don't think I'm worried enough to stop using it, and who knows if hotmail or any other email service do the same? Of course I'd be more happy to know the messages I delete are in fact, deleted, but I guess google didn't want it that way.

I only use Gmail for my personal emails, that's where I get my spam from. Only reason to use Gmail, to eliminate SPAM. I don't send any confidential or crazy top secret stuff that I should be worried about. Anyways, have these people actually use the service? What they point out are just features publicly announced. GMail isn't even a full public service yet, so why complain? My Hotmail account got spammed 2 days after I got it and I've not even used it yet. Didn't bother after that. Hate the game, don't hate the playa ;) |

Ha! That second website is INSANE... They managed to somehow link President Bush with controlling Google. You know, Bush isn't held accountable for every "evil" in this world.. Nos. |

I don't use any web based email accounts.... unless I want to use one to flame someone that is! You guys need to go back and watch "Enemy of the State" again. You're all too trusting...

It would be easier for the government to intimidate your little web site host into giving them info than Google I would imagine... Mr. Paranoia. Email isn't secure anyway, so unless you design your own worldwide network of computers to send your emails, it doesn't really make a difference where you get it from.

Haha, I'm gonna base all my opinions of online security on a flick starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman? Yeah, okay. xD |
