Ok, im liking gmail as well. However, i just set up a 'label' called 'temaphotoshop'. I made a filter ..in the 'from' dialog i put in 'teamphotoshop' and created it. So all the emails i get with teamphotoshop should go to the teamps label right? Wrong. Ive also gottena couple of emails from friends, but they should be going into a 'Friends' label cos i made a filter and put all my friend's email addresses (separated with commas) into the 'from' field. Doesnt work cos soe of those people emailed me and went straight to my inbox, not my labels.

All of my filters work. I would guess that just putting "teamphotoshop" in there wouldn't work... You could put "Has the words: Teamphotoshop" and that might work. I haven't tried setting up a filter with commas, that may not be supported. You might have to make a filter for each friend. That's the way I have it setup. Did anyone else notice that it starts adding labels automatically after a while? I forwarded all my old emails to my account and started filing them, and after a while it started labelling some of the most common ones for me. It must learn where you put things and eventually start doing it for you. Neato. |

Hmm i see..it'd be cool if you could just set up a 'friends' things and separate their emails with commas. Where can one email somebody about this since its still a beta? Also...am i right in saying that it refreshes itself every few minutes?

Looks like Yahoo's starting to compete. They upgraded my 10mb account to 2gb for free just last night.

it seems that yahoo has jumped on the bandwagon. Used to have 6mb of space now today I check my email and I have 100mb, its no 1gb but more than enough for a lot of people.

I was paying 9.99 for a 10mb and they upgraded it to the 2gb. I think you have to be a mail plus member or something.

Yeah, Yahoo upgraded the free accounts to 100MB. Plus the interface is nicer, but GMail is still cleaner. |

yup. Yahoo kicked it up a huge notch! 2GB's for the main accounts.....and 100mbs for the subs (sbc member). Not to mention they improved the interface and removed graphical ads. So basically....all these greedy little invites floating around are getting me better service. Thanks guys! |
