What's hard about saving a jpg or swf? The only thing that sucks about PowerPoint is that the default templates are ugly. Yes, you can even use Flash in PowerPoint: http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?AssetID=HA010348071033&CTT=98 |
Obviously this is just an acquisition of Microsoft's, and really had nothing at all to do with them. And I bet no one would have heard about it or cared if they hadn't acquired it. Pfffft.
Sorry to pop your balloon, but I've used Creature House's Expression for several years now. My only hope is that Macrosuck doesn't run it into the ground or bury it. It really is a cool application that does stuff no other program can do. |

I get the same impression when I look at it that I get by looking at Gimp. It makes me say - uuuh - look it's almost like photoshop...but...yeah..meh. - only replace "photoshop" with :illustrator" it's like a poor relative or something. It's only natural that it would have some "catch" or feature no other software does - as ยต says... but it's still not the right..."flavor" Maybe I'm biased...(heck it's almost certain I'm biased) but I think it's what the corporations want I don't think Adobe will have anything against me favoring their products because of misplaced loyalty:D

Yeah this has been knocking around years now, don't know why Microsuck have bought it to be honest, but as Utopian says they will probably find a way to ruin it. |

Allanon... Why not download a demo and see for yourself? Of course, your understanding of what's unique about Expression vis a vis Illustrator and Freehand would be predicated on how familiar you are with those applications. |

nothing hard about jpg or swf, but how about something i have transparency in? btw, have you ever actually tried to use flash in powerpoint? *shudder* i did a contract gig where a vp had seen flash and thought it was neato-keen and wanted to animate all this stuff. NIGHTMARE. only some actionscripting works, but not all, and there is little to no documentation as to what does and doesn't. yeah, that was fun... chris |

Welll if you really want animation, then PowerPoint isn't the right medium. If animation is what you desire to do a presentation in, then Director is right for you. Show the VP how to use it, and let him on his way.
