That is great. This is when capitalism rules. M$ is moving ahead for the second time to get into the search engine market, now Google strikes back with a big Booya.

bah!...just another email service...yet another source of spam.....and who's gonna get 1GB worth of emails anyway ?
Someone is eventually gonna have to pay for the services, hardware, infrastructure, bandwidth etc.......and these days it's corporate advertisers...meaning the "content" will also be controlled by the popup- and banner advertisers. *shows the finger* I'll stick with my ad free POP3 accounts, thankyouverymuch!

Remember what the internet looked like before these corporate bastards invaded it with their popup ads and spam? no ads, just content, information and pure services....damn I miss those days....Remember when domains were free? Remember when DNS entries were free...Remember when checking email didn't mean opening a browser ? urgh...

It's true.
What today is sold as "domain services" was and still is just tiny bits of text in DNS conf files saying "point this name to that IP".......today they're monopolizing services as much as possible in order to charging you for anything they can get their hands on....It all used to be free.....actually using DNS names to point to IPs was considered "dirty coding" since DNS was pretty unstable back then.

Up until the time all this pay-for-services thing started a "hacker" was someone who wrote the code that made this place work.....now those same people write code to attack corrupt corporations invading their territory and are being stamped as corporate terrorists. In an intellectual war only the illuminati survive.

The ads will only be text based ads like every other google ad. Not banners and pop-ups. And not many people will get 1gb of emails, that's the point. "You'll never have to delete another email" as they say in the marketing copy.
