Ok - I bought a domain name and web hosting service with Dot5Hosting.com It's been very good so far with little problems. BUT Recently - it has been going down everyday. Like when I try to go to my website... it says it doesn't exist. And as you can see from my signature - that's not working either. This has been going on now for like two weeks? And yesterday it went down and hasn't come back. So it's been like 24 hours and nothing. I have contacted the company SEVERAL times using their Live Support. At first they told me that they were just updating the servers, but the past few times they say "Let Me Check" and don't respond for like an hour... and I was like "Still there?" and they said "Still checking..." But I couldn't wait any longer and had to get off. So I don't know whats going on. I'm just tired of it. Does anyone know what I should do? I'm really confused and I'm not quite sure whats happening. I'm just lost and frusterated! :(

I had used them for some stuff for about more than a year and was pretty fed up with them.... I am using www.insiderhosting.com for everything and they are great. I would stick with them or Mediatemple at least you know they work 24/7 ....

Yes, not much more you can do than switch to someone else. I use www.insiderhosting.com as well.. Rock solid, and I usually get replies to help desk tickets in ten minutes or so. Great prices too.

How about cancelling the hosting there?.. Before that,

1) Get a new hosting service ready.
2) Back up all your files @ Dot5
3) Move your stuff over
4) After which change your nameservers to your domain to the new ones provided by the new company.
5) Wait about 24-48 hours propagation time. Once everything is pointing to the new service, cancel your account @ Dot5.

You bought a domain thru them.... So you are going to have to have them transfer it to your own account. For future reference, I wouldn't go thru someone unless they give you 100% control of the domain. Chances are they have your domain under their account, but they should be fine transfering it to another. and do what Sidez said. Get it all straightened out and then cancel.
