A-Rod deal pisses me off. Stupid Red Sox shoulda, and coulda but they didn't. I thought there was a salary cap in Baseball. (?????) Guess not. reminds me of this funny article I read in the Onion a while back: Yankees Sign Every Player |

I believe he is talking about the game that only 12yr olds or girls play in this country, Rounders! (I think they like to call it Baseball or something);)

Ha... A Red Sox fan? I despise the Yanks and only just hate the BoSox. :p But that's cause I'm a Jays fan. And by Jays fan, I mean fanatic. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about this trade. In a few years I will guarantee the Yankees being a third place team at best. They have zero farm system and with this contract they are taking on, they will no longer be able to take on other monster contracts. Steinbrenner wont be around forever (unless he IS the devil). BoSox will still finish first in the east this year. But watch for the Jays in 2-4 years. :D The problem is though, the Jays never make ESPN or any other American stations radar. We got a great young team but noone knows about them. A-Rod makes me sick though. Absolutly sick. Complete and utter BS comes out of his mouth on this whole situation. $250 million contract, how does he expect the Rangers to compete? :( |

This makes me dislike baseball even more. They should just make a new league and just have the Yankee's play themselves. |

Yeah except for A-Rod is 28 years old at his prime, while Karl Malone is 40 years old and a non factor for the lakers, even when he does play (which he isn't doing to much of so far). And on Gary Payton, yes he is good, but I wouldn't count him as one of the top point guards in the league. Face it, the Lakers aren't the huge force everyone expected them to be. Shaq and Kobe can still play, but the other two future hall of famers are just too old. Don't even try to compare the Yankees and Lakers right now. Yankees will kick butt, while Lakers will sit around and have a tea party and get they're cans kicked by all the crap shoes they come accross. |
