Yeah most do. Even I use php w/flash. I would use xml too, but i can figure out how to parse it lol. Back to the orig statement......flash isnt that easy. Html and php are easier than flash is. Especially if your doing any backend work....then flash is a real bitch. As to the site....just about all (except the animations) could be in html. But....its a flash festival. Enough said lol Graphically.....it serves little purpose. But that may not be true as its a very content driven site. And flash + content = realtime, no reloading the page, no caching and everything can be accessed & updated all at once. Hell other parts of the site could even update themselves silently while your looking at another part. Im not saying thats what happening here......im just saying flash is more than fancy animations and that may be one reason they are using it. I could be wrong though. |

Sites promoting Flash should be made in Flash? I'll be sure to get right on that. I'll make sure to tell Flashkit, actionscript.org and most of the other well-known Flash-promoting sites to do so as well. Obviously noone listens to them. Silliest thing I've heard in a while. |

They would do it justice to do something interesting like www.trollback.com or www.adzone.it or www.dunun.com use it to the potential or don't use it at all.

You keep repeating that......so what is its potential? They cant. It isnt a "creative site" like the others. There is no room for personal expression or what not. Also you really cant complain about "Flash for flash's sake" if your going to post sites like trollback......cause without a cheesy "sliding menu" and the drag&drop.....that would be an easy html site. Same with flash in the can, they have the animated menu and then the animations below it. But without those....it would be straight html. |

Yeah, I keep repeating myself 'cause people pop in and just read my first, uneloquent post and don't see my clarifications. Anyways, I have been sufficiently beaten down verbally for one thread. |

Well I've never been to actionscript.org, but Flashkit.com is a terrible, and I'll repeat 'terrible' web site. It couldn't hurt it a bit to be done in Flash.
