I guess trademark covers pronouciations too. I'm with MBB, and MBS on this. It may be spelled different, but its pronouced the same.

Imagine him in a job interview and he says he works with MikeRoweSoft. Its pretty obvious he knows how it sounds like.

*goes to register TeamFotoshop.com* I'm starting a team for my Foto shop

Of course that kid is losing... I mean, microsoft can't have some 17 year old screwing their carefully put together image on his personal page... I do feel that it makes microsoft look silly and not a good sport however, they should have just given that guy a thousand dollar or something and say: nice try.
Especially with all the media coverage it would be worth the 1000 bucks.

And about the heated discussion in here, settle down man... no need for name calling. I feel that spectra stated his opinions rather clearly, with all the sueing going on etc. No need to bash another forum member... lets just all make love!!!
LOOOOOVE!!!!!! GROUP HUG!!!! ;)

When I first saw the domain I didn't even think about the connection to Microsoft until I read more into the article... But yeah he can't go around answering his phone "Microsoft, may I help you?" But of course people would know the difference immediately since they would be talking to a live person instead of 30 minutes of voicemail menus.

Question. Maybe this was answered already, I didn't read all of it.

If his name was, for example, Mike Rowesoft (as in his last name was Rowesoft) and he registered mikerowesoft.com, would that still be considered as copyright infringement?
