All his site had was little blogs of information he wrote. It is exactly like my site, or most everyones here who have a little "news" section. I have no idea where this begging for money you say is. Maybe I am blind and/or dumb. Or maybe you are saw an update to his page. Last time I checked, it is down.

And do not fret. This isn't a non-american thread. But not everything is a conspiracy or an attempted cash grab. Where I am from, we generally accept the person as being honest. We don't "smell scam" when someone does something. I agree that he knew for the most part what he was doing, but maybe didn't realize the degree of the situation.

I do however hold my ground on your "thought process". Tell me the recomended insurance for liability on a vehicle there? In Canada the MAXIMUM is 2 million in liability. That wouldn't even cut it in the states? Why, because the first chance a person has to sue someone, they will do it. Help someone who has injured themselves in the public. Here? of course. You will see a large group of people try to help. USA? A good chance very few if any will due to liability claims. Also, take a look at all your RIAA victims begging for money to pay for their lawsuits. All american.

So back to the real issue. If I missed the big donation button, please show me. I definately will start to side with you on the idea of a scam. Or at the very least, I will lose a lot of interest in the story because I don't respect glorified begging. I can certainly almost guarantee the story is real however, otherwise the a lot of news groups here in town and Canada will have a lot of egg on their faces.

Giving up what? Not worth your time for your own forum? I see you care very much, just like you cared so much about my Quality Posts thread which you so conveniently decided not to give your 2 cents about. Even after I mentioned how it would be nice that you did. But that is neither here nor there. You have a life beyond this forum so I could care less about a persons dedication to it, but don't come in here and pout. I'm sure it's worth everyones time that you "give up" on this pressing issue and that I'm too ignorant to see your point so it's easier for you to point this out. Last time I checked, expressing an opinion wasn't wrong. You argue like a 5 year old and that is too bad.

All I am asking if he did have a donate button? Or should I be reading more into what he wrote? I honestly don't "smell scam" here and wonder if I am missing something. No one but you said this, so where is it? You also only questioned it in your first post and never pointed to anything. I'm just confused (probably more like ignorant right?).

Spectra, go back where Pank said:

Don't turn this into a petty anti-american piece of crap thread. I don't see any links on HIS site to any news stories other than a non-related starbucks story. Then I see a HUGE donation button....

-----------
Then go back and read your first thread of page 2. I smell hypocritical. You can say all you want that it's not another non-American thread, but the first chance you get you toss the "problems with the US" card in the pile. I think that's what Pank was talking about when he said it wasn't worth his time, because you are obviously rambling, which happens when someone brings emotion into a discussion.

EDIT: Hell, I didn't see this post of yours:

Maybe that's just the american thought process. I apologize for rolling my eyes. I don't see anywhere a guy asking for money? Do you? Also, the site was up just yesterday. This thing is making news fast.

You brought up the anti-American crap right away. YOU are the one that threw that into the discussion. Why is it always you that, first chance you get, in every thread where there is an issue to be debated you bring up something about "you Americans", or "the American thought process". I'm really sick of that crap. If you can't debate without insulting Americans then don't bother to bring your opinions in the discussion because we don't want to hear them.

mattboy. I had a point with it. When you can figure that out, then come back. I also stated why I thought what I said. I don't want a nation bashing thread. There is a difference here. I am also not insulting anyone, I'm telling it like it is from a non-american stand point. If you don't want to hear it, go away. When I start to ramble or make things irrelevant, then let me know.

If you had a point by noting that it was "the american thought process" then why don't you elaborate? Fill me in on how I think Spectra?

Not worth my time to argue with you Spectra. You really need to relax a bit. And NEVER question how much I care about this forum.

As far as your other thread. I have no clue what you are talking about. Can I read every single thread here. No f'ing way. Give me a break.

Should I close this thread. You betcha. Will I? Nope.
I'll give you a few more chances to bury yourself deeper first. Enjoy yourself.
Like I said. This is really not worth my time. Or to state it so you understand, your biased opinions are not worth my time. I think your own sig says it best... Now this time I really am done. Enjoy the rest of this thread and feel free to spew more anti-American hate and call me names. Just proves my point even more.

See, there I even helped you out. Giving you hints on how to not make yourself look stupid. Silly American... Helping out a friend in need of a wake-up call. What would my comrades say...

Well, I know for a fact you read my one thread. The "who's online" function works like a charm. Unless it was wrong of course. Plus it was a popular thread in the ever popular Misc section, you couldn't have missed it.

You are so drastic and melodramatic. Anti-american hate??? Calling you names??? I really am sorry. Someone says something and you scream bloody murder. It is really quite silly how set off both of you are. I don't hate you, but I don't particularily care for anyone online. I do care that there are intelligent open people here that can take things with a grain of salt. However, it appears certain things really set you off. That's too bad, it gives you a lack of credibility in being able to argue a point, for whatever that is worth from a 23 year old. Not much I assume.

But I don't wish to clash heads any longer. I like it here, and don't wish to discredit myself for discussing and sharing my own views. I will certainly monitor my free-speach from now on. I hope that anyone else that takes offense to my posts here will at least still humour me in the rest of the forum. I like to think that I am a somewhat valueable member and provide even a small bit of insight.

P.S.: If I can't say these things here, in the Misc forum section, where should I say them? Please don't lose it over anothers views. Especially when that's the whole beauty of having the Misc Section. There is no way I would ever spew my "anti-american hate" in the portfolio section. Maybe the Misc section needs to be narrowed down in the range of topics it allows. Then there will be no more hoo-ha like this.

Keep in mind, any one of you that has ever been upset with another person or country...this is the same thing. There are those out there that would be very upset that YOU didn't like their country. I have to believe many of you dislike other countries out there. I don't wish the USA to go away, I don't wish the people harm, however, my views on how it operates and how society is makes me uneasy. This does not include the entire population.

mattboy, if you have never made a generalized comment in your life, good on you. That is a huge accomplishment. I hope that you are arguing for the sake of arguing and can actually see what I mean by this.
