Even with Apple care you still has to send it to get it fixed, so you losse you machine for a couple of day's, wich can turn in loss of money...

My old 15" Powerbook (Titanium, not wall-street) had dozens of discolored pixel rows down the center of the screen. I never heard of anyone else having that problem with it. To give you an idea, it was like having dozens of multi-colored guides down the middle of the screen. It obviously was annoying, but it gradually became bearable. I'd have fixed it, but there were some other major problems, namely the fact that the USB's no longer read drive devices, and the CD burner, no longer burned. Also, Apple care had run out on it, so it became a 'junker' computer, and is presently being ran into the ground by another owner, though given the chance, I'd have held onto it for a while longer.

Let's not even compare these little rubs Apple has had with the security problems Weendose users experienced this past year.

It just wouldn't be fair. It would border on gloating.

Word.

The OS makes it all worth it. Also, hardware issues of any kind aren't a Mac v. PC issue. If it was made by a human being, if will break eventually. That's how it works. Nothing lasts forever. Also, if nothing else, this is another, albeit more subtle way for mac haters to diss them (Among this forum, I mean). I mean, come on. We've had enough already. If a piece of hardware truly sucks, then something will be done about it. Or, the company will lose money on either repeat buyers, or on word-of-mouth sales. Thus, they will only shoot themselves in the foot, if they make a shoddy product, which apple has not done. They have perhaps made a less than perfect product that (*gasp!*) doesn't last forever, but hey, that's life.

yes windows has major os problems, we are talking hardware which isnt as easily fixed. You cant just download an update to fix these problems, you have to send your computer away for two weeks. And dont think im a windows fanboy, I spent 2700 dollars on an apple product. I am just stating a fact that apples hardware has been having problems as of late.

Is there a reason why everyone has to put down windows when someone posts an article pointing out a flaw in something Apple makes?

Its like everything wrong with Apple is justified because Windows is so much worse.

Get over it.
