well im with you with getting apple care, but if a large amount of people are having the exact same problem apple should do something about it, instead of just looking the other way.

No one's turning their back on the customers.

If they can determine that the problems are caused by an actual manufacturing or design defect, I'm sure they'll try to do something about them. Otherwise, these are just the complaints of a few people who happened to have bad experiences with their technology. It's not like this has never happened in the PC, or Automotive markets either. That's not to say that Apple's not in any way at fault for making a potentially sub-par product. Every manufacturer's done it. They realized, I'm sure the harm it'd do to future sales, and likely rectified the issue in future models.

PS. Anyone like my oldskool Sig?

apple sure has had some large scale problems this last quarter of the year. This ibook logicboard problem, and powerbook white spots. My powerbook is away getting those spots fixed. Very crappy.

yeah my 15in had about 6 and two of them were very large. Everyone in my design studio that has the new 15 powerbooks has atleast 4 white spots. When they first appeared on my screen they were very annoying but after about 2 months of looking at them it didnt effect me as much. But i needed my powerbook to take to the studio so now that im on vacation i took it in to get those bastards fixed. And now apple apparently has them figured out. People who first sent them in got a replaced display and they would come back, and they send it in again.
