PayPal's fees aren't that bad if you need to accept credit cards... Most merchant accounts are just as much or more than their percentages.

Well if you ever want to have use of a CC or any kind of electronic transaction, then there really isn't any way to avoid fees. Might as well leave all options open as people are pretty lazy =D

Well I haven't got a cent to my paypal account yet so it haven't bothered me...Still haven't really figured out how the whole thing works :P

You don't have to have money in your paypal account. You can link transactions from your bank or CC, and they act as the middle people.

I have like 400 USD in my account but I can't use it since I don't have it hooked up to a bank account or credit card or anything. The money isn't really why I do client work, anyways, so I don't mind. I do it more just because its fun and good experience.

And no the fees aren't bad. I got charged $3.20 on a $100 payment. And there is a reason for it - I'm not sure if its valid or not - but its not just like the PayPal people are going out and buying beer with all my credit card fees.
