I was at work that day. We were listening to the radio when the news about it came on. After that all we did was sat there in shock, and no work getting done, listening to the news.

Umm... two blocks north of the World Trade Center, Stuyvesant High School. Chambers St. 4th Floor. Second period. Math.

Remember the white arch bridge you see get engulfed in debris and smoke in that video of people running? That's our bridge.

i was watching the news at home in the morning... nothing had happened.

i walk to work as usual.

i turn on the tv at work and a plane has crashed into the 1st tower. i thought it was an accident. i tell everyone to turn on their tvs (this is a media company so everyone has a tv in their office)

then the second plane hits, then the pentagon. i work a few miles from the pentagon and i could see it from my office building. that was frightening.

everyone was trying to get the hell out of DC! plus, rumors were flying (we didn't know what was true or not until later). in DC, everyone knows people that work at the capitol, the pentagon, etc... so it was very scary.

i spoke to my dad in NY early that morning but by the afternoon phone lines were totally jammed. overall, it was a frightening time to live in DC and have my family in NY. what a horrible day.

that afternoon, at work (before i walked home), i did some quick design work to get some urgent content up on the web related to coping with the tragedy... it felt good to do something that might help people deal with it all.

I was hitting *snooze* and coming in and out of sleep, wasn't sure if what i was hearing on the radio alarm was real or if I was in that between reality and awake state. But when I got to work we watched the news tripping on what was happening.
