Well I have a million of them...but the most ridiculous thing just happened that really pissed me off!!! So im on this site...its like a cheap 2A knockoff (of course....) and i didnt feel like waiting for there dumb 3d/bg pic thing to load (im on 56k and ppl dont know how to compress anymore...they just use preloaders...ugh) so anyway....i dont want to wait so i go to click the link for there portfolio. Right as i mouse over the link.....a big ass yellow message appeared over the site stating "The site is loading...NAVIGATION INACTIVE" . WTF is that? The rest of the site was loaded and functional...except that 1 crappy bg pic...which has nothing to do navigation. How stupid is that!!!!

I feel much better now that i got that out :-)

My second complaint of the night is logo's. No one wants to make logos anymore. Everysite out there has 2 letters (usually in an unreadable font) surrounded by to circles (thin inner..thick outer). Im this far (u cant see...but my fingers are really close!!!) from killing 2A (not cause its there fault)...but i cant kill everyone so i'll go to the source of the problem!!

I need anger management.

ROFL, Yea you do...But it's kinda refreshing to hear (read.) about others with the same problem as one self...Hehe, need some kind of anger management also.

I wish I could ban all those sites with real crappy loading time. Specially big sites that do not even give us dial uppers a thought anymore, 'coz there are so many on broadband now adays. Not to mention those site creators who do not know what links are and thumbnails and choices for the visitor...Hey, we want to have a choice wether to look at a pic or not.

Ah, I will not get started on this...;) ok, just idle-ing then, have already started.

*reaches for the ingnition-key with the intention of turning the anger motor off*

"Specially big sites that do not even give us dial uppers a thought anymore, 'coz there are so many on broadband now adays.
I don't know about other countries but last time I saw the figures—within the past 6 months or so—only about 6% of Americans had a broadband connection to the internet. I had dial-up for years before the cable company made connections for my neighborhood. I'll NEVER forget what it was like, until broadband has practically saturated the market. Only then will it be OK to build fat sites meant for the general public.

The problem is designers who add features just because they can. I have no complaints with bloated content on a site designed as a showcase for high-concept, but it's plain bad judgement to have every gee-whiz-bang bell and whistle possible on a business site. There are far too few web-designers who are clueless about usage considerations. Zeldman, with his "A List Apart" site, and others like it ought to be required reading for anyone building for the public.

I still do all my sites html based. Have a personal "hate" for flash sites cause designers nowadays think its just cool.

Thing is, people still surf around looking for CONTENT. I'd rather skip all the "hoo haa" and just get straight to the point. Unless its an entertainment site.

Still, I refuse to design a flash site no matter how cool they may seem. No total hate for flashed up sites(Pankpages, 2Advanced).

Does a list apart cover compact flash design? I wanted to get a book called "Byte-sized flash" but I haven't yet... but I'll get it sometime. I like minimalistic flash sites, that are small file size, but still cool looking. Have you been to www.otradesign.com ? I don't know if it is small in filesize or not, but the interface and such is made entirely using actionscripts drawing api, so I would imagine that it has a small filesize.

I must say i like that otra site. I like fast flash like that. it's the 2advanced 30 second intro because they think they are so cool flash that is annoying as ****. but i would probably never make a flash site. unless it was just a navbar or something. and even then it would have to provide some sort of value over an unordered CSS list, which is unlikely.

What about the value of impressing customers? Of course, I don't think flash should be used for everything, but it does have its place. It all depends what your using it for. And yah, bloated flash is bad.

EDIT: Is there a reason it says sidez is banned? Or is that just something he put there for fun?
