NL is also the one who listens to blink-182, which completely destroys any ounce of credibility to his musical taste that he could possibly have. Edit. Don't get me wrong, though. Audioslave pwns. |

Haha NL i'm just yankin yer strings :D I forgot you liked led zeppelin though. And provided that by korn you refer to the "korn before the crap album they called 'Issues'". then you're cool. (NL regained his music credibility :D) |

That's not even remotely techno-ish, which is good. But the thread asked for techo-ish. I usually don't even listen to most new bands, I stick to the good stuff. |

I haven't heard a good thing come from anything even "techno-ish" in a long time. I've been looking for something lately, something to dance to, something to drive to. What I'd like, is something sounding like Basement Jaxx or Darude. I like upbeat and funky...sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but mostly fast. I've you can suggest anything, I'd like some ideas too. I've been listening to a LOT of 80's music the last 2 years, because I simply cannot stand any new music. Since about laste 1998, there are only 2 albums I can listen to entirely: Marilyn Manson - The Golden Age of Grotesque and Garth Brooks - Double Live I love rock, but there has been nothing impressive the last 2 years. Saliva's album, "Every Six Seconds" was the last rock album I bought. Gimme something decent, something that doesn't sound like EVERYTHING ELSE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW *Example: The White Stripes". I've come to hate Rolling Stone. All they ever talk about anymore are bands like "The White Stripes", "The Hives", "Black Rebel Motorcycle Club", etc. You know, the brother-bands. |

I've heard of flogging molly. Haha daisydiaz... tis been forever xD I agree with mattboy slim though. Ever since the death of Kurt Cobain, there has not really been a single artist or group that was born that played really good music. The bands that I really enjoy that are around today are bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Weezer. In the case that Rolling Stones are still around (I think they still are!!!) then they are in the list too, of course. Notice how all those bands were formed before Kurt Cobain's death. There is also the Foo Fighters. Even thoguh they were formed after Kurt Cobain's death, they are still good.. A little bit too much punkish in their early years though. And one more thing... the lead guitarist, Dave Grohl, was Nirvana's drummer, so no wonder they're good :D For the most part, pop-punk bands today are talentless. Nothing but meaningless powerchords. Meaningless lyrics about high school problems and being a rejct.. Whiny voices that sound like their noses are clogged. No real reason for them to be put on a pedestal like they are now. As for the list of bands that I like, the list is really god damn long. The all time favs, though, are, in alphabetical order: Bob Marley Incubus Jimi Hendrix Experience Led Zeppelin Nirvana Pink Floyd Rage Against The Machine Red Hot Chili Peppers Sublime Weezer ALL time favs. ALL time. I like a lot more, but these are the best. |
