yeah but im talking about 2 years ago and up, and i dont really know anyone with a g5 and my job isnt going to buy any new boxes.
the dual 1.25 i have was doing pretty good with a 400meg PSD, but for massive files, i've always found the PC to be a better way to go.
have you done large format work before? is a pain the a.ss, and sometimes screen redraw time is just silly.

God yeah i have...and i only have a 700mhz 512mb ram G4 in work. The trick is to leave stuff like that for overnight ;)

well, yeah. Hardware's not the issue. we know that a dual 1.25 system will be able to rock big images, it's just an issue of the the system that's running it. So, in terms of hardware, Apple and PC's are prety much neck and neck, but in terms of OS's, you have to go Mac.
