Just look what it's asking while you install, and you should be fine, trhaynes. On another note, one thing I dislike about opera is that you can't select images. Or can you? I mean, like in IE, that you sweep with the cursor over an image and it turns ...you know, dotted and that. I'm addicted to pressing CTRL+A on sites to see how it's built. x) |

No it does not take over your computer at all. It's very respectful about that type of stuff. Very easy to remove, and it's only a 3mb download, so it takes up hardly any space. Paavo, if you want to see how a site is built, just use the special stylesheet that shows outlines of every div and table, to really see how it is built. It's like looking at a site in Dreamweaver or a similar WYSIWYG program. Click the "Paper" icon just to the left of the address bar to turn stylesheets to User Mode, then click the little arrow beside that icon and choose "Debug with outline". You can also turn on "Show structural elements" and it will show you where every table, p, and div tag is, while still looking at the page like normal. |

http://www.soktdesign.com/opera.gif Look at that Screenshot for an example of this site while in that debug view. I think you will agree it is much better than doing a select-all in IE. |

Well, I've always been a IE User... simply becuase it seems to work better than NS (Ugh... I can't STAND NS7) And i've never been acquainted with something better. BUT, I just dl'ed firebird and opera. I'm not too hot on firebird, but opera seems really cool. I think i'll use it from now on... especially since IE has been messing up lately (Sometimes when I can't go to a lot of sites, especially forums, and I have to reboot) so Opera it is...

Actually... I got annoyed with the space that the ad in opera takes, so I got some extensions and themes for firebird, and it does seem pretty cool... I think i'll use this one now lol. Does anyone know how to adjust the size of the address bar? And is it possible to make these browsers use css for sidebars?
