I don't know how it could possibly take that long. I thought something was wrong with it, so I posted a message on the HP Printer message boards, and that's just how they are. Apparently the new series printers are even worse. Our fix at work was to turn off sleep mode, and to never turn the darn thing off.

Everyone knows the first 10 minutes of work is email checking and slacking off anyways. :D

But I do feel your pain on printers warming up. Scanners too infact. Maybe I just expect way too much out of things, but I like it to be fairly instant.

Patience is a virtue which I seem to lack sometimes.

i just recently upgraded my scanner and printer also
aiming for dual Lcd Flat Monitors next - a must for design and development environment...

I uhm...recently broke my digital cammera...But I was talking to Paavo online yesterday, and my printer was shaking soo much on the edge of the desk while printing and then suddenly the thing like flipped off the desk. COOLEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.
