My girlfriend bought a keyboard for hers and takes it to school (Law school), where she types her notes, then transfers them to my computer here where she formats everything. It seems she can type faster then she can write. So it is a very cheap alternative to a laptop, which she doesnt need. She was also a nut using her day planner, so this provides an obvious improvement over a big book. Me on the otherhand, can be summed up in deker's words. Handful of friends, not a whole lot of people I want to contact. No need to own one, although every once in awhile I think I do. |

I use mine for music on the golf course, videos at work, contacts, a voice recorder for conferences and meetings, a quick notepad, a score-keeper for golf, a remote control for my TV, DVD, etc., a game machine (Minesweeper and Flight Simulator), I use Terminal Services with wireless to get into a server on the job site from any classroom or office, I use it for a hackey-sack, I use if for scrubbing the crusty things from dishes....OK, I'm going to far now. I don't go anywhere without it.

It's called Leo's Flight Simulator. It's a blast. It's my favorite thing to do when riding in the car to wherever.

The only use for PDAs I would have is to play games, and I rather dish out the cash for Neo Geo Pocket (that's right, Neo Geo Pocket COLOR). I can type up notes on my graphic calculator anyway.
