Off for the weekend... golf season starts

hey malibu - here's a golfing joke to make you feel better:

there's this priest who really enjoys golfing...
so one sunny Sunday when he's supposed to go to church and do his stuff he looks out the window, lets out a big sigh and says to himself: "boy this would be a great day to play golf...." So he calls the deacon and tells him he's sick and wouldn't be able to come to church...and goes out to play some golf....
Up in heavens, God and St Peter see him... St Peter tells God... "Well - what are we going to do about him?"
God waves his hand as the priest is preparing to shoot the first hole.... and it's a hole in one!
The priest is can hardly breathe with glee...\
So St Peter says "My Lord is this how you punish the impudent? By granting him his innermost desire?
God smiles and says: "Well - he won't ever be able to tell anyone about it...."

Sprained your back eh.. that'll take like weeks to fully recover.

im golfin 9 holes with my dad (golf freak) tommorow. I hyper extended all the muscles in my back at my football championship. Have had a really bad back ever since. Im broken and im only 15 lol

Aaaah, I left work early today, walked 9 holes of golf, came home, grilled a couple burgers, planted some grass seed in my yard (real grass, not grass), then went to the bar for about 3 hours. I've just had quite possibly one of the best days of my life.

I never played golf, seems cool to do once though...
And dan, sorry to hear you hurt your back. Hope it feels a bit better yet?

I'm icing it down this a.m. and then driving 2.5 hrs to the resort, damnit!

Golf isn't something you do once, NL... you'll have one good 'whack' on the little white ball and that'll be enough to bring you back next time to see if you can do better... and the next time... and the next time...

i always thought golf was an old persons sport...:S maybe i was wrong.

you gotta be crazy, golf is for every age, it doesn't discriminate like those... other sports.
