Oh yeah Psycho...that's definitely cooler than the Alienware case. ========== I agree with Deker. I can go buy a PC from Gateway or Dell cheaper than any of you can build the same thing for. Sure, you can use cheaper parts, but you can't get the same brand-name parts and build it cheaper than I can buy it and get it shipped PRE-BUILT. Plus I get however many years of support and warranty. You get...what...90 days for the majority of your parts? I have neither the time nor the patience to buy separate parts from separate companies. My personal time is worth a hell of a lot to me, and I don't want to spend that time shopping. I hate to shop. I haven't been in a mall for more than 15 minutes in over 5 years. In the time it took you to find your parts, buy them, put the PC together, etc, I could almost guarantee that I saved twice as much money by just jumping on Dell or Gateway and buying a PC from them. |

In my opinion any good gaming system make a good graphic design computer... the needs are the same!!! only the hard drive need to be a little bigger... So even if I dont have Alienwares I belive they have good machines... plus the look is really cool! |

Yeah, i'm running the ti4200 turbo. notice the power rangers blanket in the background of one of the pics.:D LoL, yeah, the photoshop 7 ran really well, and i could play a game while making graphics. until my windows got all screwed up. now i need ot reinstall. BTW: The albatron ti 4200 TURBO overclocks to ti 4600 stock speeds, so it's essentially a ti 4600 right now :D |

i've only had one experience with alienware, and i have to say it was horrible. a friend of mine got a new alienware pc with a blown motherboard, and after many hours on the phone they to this day have not replaced it (tho its supposedly been sent about 6 times). chris |

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I just saw one of those new alienware cases at BestBuy yesterday. That thing is GIGANTIC!! Holy crap it's the most ridiculously huge computer case I have ever seen. It was literally twice the size of some of those sony cases. It was insane. I didn't get to look to closely at it though, 'cause there was a guy playing a game on it for the entire 45 minutes I was in the store. Bastard... I also played with a Tablet PC, and it was actually kinda cool. I like being able to draw directly on the screen, rather than having to draw on a Wacom. It was pressure sensitive too, though no where near as sensitive as my Wacom. If you regularly take notes that you just can't type in like math equations or sketches for a blueprint or something, it would be awesome. otherwise it's just an overpriced, underpowered laptop though. |
