"Oh, I just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't have any problems today. I didn't have any yesterday or the day before, either, but I was too dang busy working to stop in and let everyone know that things are running smoothly, and that I didn't have any questions. Now, I don't expect to have any problems tomorrow, either, but like I said, we're really busy. If I get the chance, I stop and and let you guys know that everythings alright."

Of course you're going to see a lot of threads from peole who are having problems.
That's true, I never thought of it like that.

I'm not going to say anything much because you all know how i feel BUT, i will say that i've had my new iMac 17' for half a year now and not once has it crashed. at all. Yeah sure a couple of apps have crashed, but the great thing about OSX is that each app is treated as a seperate entity and you can ALWAYS click the desktop and bring up the force quit command. I know this isn't true for PC OSs. I have two PCs at home too so i'm coming from an objeective point of view.

I force quit applications on the PC all the time. As much as I hate windows, I have to say that XP is actually quite stable. I don't recall having any real crashes with XP. There are still 1,001 other reasons I don't like it though. Not being stable isn't one of them though. But it does get so slow and bogged down that I have to restart. So I guess that could be considered unstable.

:| I can't talk about XP, haven't ever used it. I'm talking about Windows 98 and ME.

Yeah. They sucked. But if you are talking about them, then you'd have to compare 98 and ME to MacOS9, which I've heard wasn't very stable.

correct, but if you notice the exact comment that i quoted in that post was about "dwindling industry acceptance" and that's what i was commenting on

Check again, it's dwindling advantages. Anyhoo, I have to say Win2k is pretty stable as well, I've had it on my PC for 2 years, and haven't formatted once, and it's crashed maybe twice.

Liking slower, less stable, more expensive work equipment with dwindling advantages in color accuracy and industry acceptance is fine by me.

as far as i can understand "dwindling advantages in industry acceptance" means pretty much the same thing...
