I was wondering what you fellers recommend for after shave products that will sooth the skin and entice the senses. Well I just bought a adidas aftershave thing which has vitamins and aloe which is supposed to help sooth skin and stuff after shaving, but i'm wondering if there is anything that you people know as being exceptional. I used to use a gilette gel but the one at the store didn't have any info on the back of the bottle so i ended up having to choose between neutrogena and the adidas...obviously adidas won out. So ... i haven't used it yet, but just wondering what other people use, and how they like it. IF you reply could u say what kinda skin reactions you get from after shaving (raw, irriated, whatever...) Me: Bio: Kinda dry and irritated on the curves...I hope the soothing aloe will overpower the alcohol. Tool: Mach3 Turbo Application: Gilette Shaving Gel |

I have very irratble skin when it comes to shaving. In fact, just the act of shaving drives me nuts anyways. I hate the fact that its at the very least, every two days in which I have to. I use a Mach3, and gillette aloe gel, its worked the best in keeping the bumps down. The problem actually only lies in my neck. If I touch my neck after shaving, watch out. I look like a freak. I also can only shave in certain directions. Argh, I have to shave for work tomorow.

Ouch.... I have that same problem.... I started using an electric razor and its much easier - although the shave kind of sucks compared to a razor. I used to use those name brand aftershaves - Farenheit was the one I liked, but they have too much alcohol in them which burned my skin. Might as well have poured hot wax and peeled off my facial hair. I just use lotion now. |

hmm yea recnetly i've been trying to figure out which direction to shave my chin...i notice it's very hard to get smooth. i usually go along the contour from left to right then from right to left, but i realized that isn't working too well. After all these years I don't know why i'm trying to shave closer but it is rather difficult. I usually go against the grain, which may be why my skin is a bit irritated afterwards. I also have to shave like every 2-3 days...and my facial hair grows weird so if i didn't shave, it would look like bald spots everywhere. Michaelp I do the exact same thing...its my shaving ritual. |

I use an electric razor... to be precise: the philips coolskin. It's rather good. It has nivea-lotion in it, which comes out if you push the button while shaving. This is supposed to make you feel fresh and will help to make your skin softer. I like it. And after shave always hurts. Be a man about it. |
