I have an interview tomorrow over the phone for a college in England for a degree in Digital Animation. There are two other colleges but they haven't given me an interview date, i'll be flying over for them. All the three courses are degrees in DA. I'll let you know how tomorrow goes! Fingers crossed. I'll need every single cent for college Thank god for car crashes!

Man Gollum is ****in' awesome. Plus if you look at it as a computer rendering like I'm sure cybling does, it's very beautiful work. Yeah that does look cool Cybling. And this software has only been out for like 2 days, so they haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what is possible. Here are a couple of links you should check out. Zeldman's list of cool software for OSX. Looks like some really cool stuff there. http://www.zeldman.com/essentials/osxswitch1/ Todd Dominey's reviews of some cool OSX software. Looks like good stuff there too. That Drag and drop PHP parser looks especially interesting. http://whatdoiknow.org/archives/cat_os_x_software.php |

So does the NetNewsWire thing that was just released today. You can subscribe to RSS feeds and search them, sort them, group them, mark them as read, write to your own Blog if it uses Blogger, Movable Type, and others... Then you have http://www.code-line.com/software/colorconsultantpro.html that color wheel thing. Though on the PC you can get www.colorschemer.com Plus a pretty front-end to search the library of congress by bill number or keyword... Or you could view and search 50 different comic strips online: http://www.spiny.com/comictastic/ And oh-my-goodness... a sexy front-end to the god-awful USPS.com web site to generate and print online shipping labels. http://www.buyolympia.com/software/swordfishexpress/ Holy crap I wish I had that on the PC. I absolutely hate the USPS.com web site... I have to use it every day to ship stuff for our web sites, and I have yet to print a SINGLE label without having to cancel the first one and then try it again. It will always print the second time, but never ever the first. Stupid stupid stupid. Plus you have to make like 4 clicks to get to where you can even fill in the info. Then it doesn't remember your information. you have to enter your address and credit card every single time. then it uses some stupid java applet to process the label and credit cards, which is buggy as hell and never works right. aaaarrggghhh!!! It's worth the price of buying a new Mac just to use that program. (well... not really, but it sure as hell would be nice) And this is interesting, Remote Desktop Sharing for Mac to PC! Mac users can connect to PC users' desktops and manipulate it just like a PC to PC user can. Nice. http://www.microsoft.com/mac/DOWNLOAD/MISC/RDC.asp Wow, make your own money http://www.excourse.com/excentro/index.html Wow, cool little web page stat viewer... http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/internet_utilities/tyrantulax.html Yeah. I really can't wait to get a Mac. |
