The ones i'd actually use are the check mail thingy, the handy mini itunes controller, slashdot updater. I can't connect to the zeldman.com or any of your other RSS sites...i don't know what the RSS URL is...

They may not all have RSS feeds, I don't know for sure. I don't think zeldman does anyway. Daringfireball.net should. K10K has one too I think.

Those widgets don't impress me that much. There is a big possibility there for all kinds of things though. And there are already a lot of things in the works. First AppleScript, now this!

Correction: I AM getting that! Birthday in 3 Days :D. I was also in a car accident when i was 4 so i'm getting around ?15,000 (~$15,000) compensation.

here are just two ideas for using that powermate thing...

out of the box, you get scrolling in many applications...i set mine up to do the following in chimera:
normal scroll: scroll the page.
click and scroll: scroll through tabs
long click: new tab
out of the box it will have controls for itunes, ie, and finder, and other applications. i setup my itunes for:
click: play/pause
scroll: volume up/down
click and scroll: next/prev song

The displays just dropped in price a whole lot zyconium. They took $1,500 off the 23" one. And the 17" is only $700 now.
